Monday blues got you down?? Enjoy these photos from our first day of our honeymoon…..
Goofin’ off on our second flight, considering the first flight we got separated…
Okay so that was just a BONUS…here is official day one.
May I have a drumroll please for our very first hand made home grown breakfast….
That was hand delivered every morning by the chef himself flour caked apron included (on him not us)!
Breakfast is served.
Let me just recap what is in that bountiful basket: Yogurt topping peaches and topped with pomegranate and home made granola; a spinach and egg frittata with home made salsa and sides of all bran muffins, oh and a pint of orange juice probably freshly squeezed…my husband drank all of it every morning…I have proof…
Little muffin to go with that OJ.
Oh and while we’re at it take a look at the place we stayed, Carson Ridge Cabins in Carson Washington, Best. Place. Ever. I highly recommend it….
Can’t beat that view, and off the beaten path after our first coffee of the day we headed on a little walk along the river…yes they call that a river.
There is none other than myself enjoying the view, not the best view by the way that would be if I were looking back at the man taking this photo….anyways. 😉
COFFEE! First coffee stop of the day before above view was at a little coffee shop where I ever so politely asked for sugar free syrup, I then got told, “I don’t carry that, that s** will kill ya.” Ouch harsh, all signs point to true we all die sometime, but harsh.
Bad posture in a Antique store, but I was browsing the books when….
I found this gem WHOOOO I didn’t purchase it due to unnecessary spending of over ten bucks for an aged recipe book I’d never use, but it makes a great photo!
Me with coffee….yup.
Next stop Panther Creek Falls, but first of course we have to take a photo of our shoes a leaf and my face….close up.
This was a pit stop on the way out from Panther Creek, such a beautiful experience!
Alas, we embark close to Panther Creek Falls, the first of many natural waterfalls we would see throughout our honeymoon, you guys this thing was gorgeous!
First look at how happy our faces are to be at the waterfall.
Then naturally our feet….
Our rental we got the entire trip for a really great price thanks to my beautiful bridesmaid that works for a rental company and got us a great deal, truly we left wanting this car….
We also decided to try something new, drink wise. This is what we picked, disgusting…don’t do it. Ever.
We then headed into a little town nearby, Hood River Washington, where THESE are outside of the shops in their planters.
What?!?!?! Aren’t these the prettiest! No editing on this photo!
This is mainly for my father, found some peepers as he likes to call them. Apparently Washington likes to call them that too…
Over 400 steps, Challenge Accepted.
Our spread of movie snacks, the lodge had movies on hand we rented The Wedding Date, opened the windows, listened to the rain fall, turned on the fireplace, watched the movie, and had one stinkin’ great night!
Happy Day one of the Honeymoon….this is where I shut the door, you don’t have to go home (maybe you already are there) but you can’t stay here, and unfortunately we’re not even able to stay there so none wins. Hope you enjoyed the first day flashback to our honeymoon as much as I enjoyed siphoning through photos and labeling them! So. Much. Fun.
Have one fabulous Monday everyone, what did you do today?
What was the first day like on your honeymoon?
